As David Turgeon, and i think a few others mentioned, this release on Carpet Bomb, put out in 98 is tremendous. After deciding to finally listen to this one thoroughly, i'm really enjoying the odd ambient soundscapes with the backdrop of (live sounding) drums.. Sometimes veering in the "drum'n bass" vein, but in the most productive fashion. Textured simplicity, and sweet melodic whirls will keep this one on top of the stack for me. With its dark moments, and rough beats, this one also leans in the jazzy-experimental avenue. Highly recommending sounds coming from Carpet Bomb these day's.. track 1 - livestock track 2 - microstudio track 3 - kundalini (trumpet by matt hidenburg) track 4,7 - tripform track 5,6,8 -unagi patrol If anyone has more information on the above mentioned artists, please contact me. For other inquires, check out their website at http://www.carpetbomb.com Pietro. _____________________________________ Pietro Da Sacco, m b m @ n e t c o r e . c a ::: Grooves Magazine 002 ::: ::: Experimental Electronica in Words ::: http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ ::: Insound.com Zinestand ::: http://www.insound.com/zinestand/grooves/

The above artists are essentially three (adrien, pablo, doron) guys working in different capacities. collectivly they make up livestock, not sure about the rest of the groups, tho.

just to clarify.. carpetbomb.com is apparently by an unrelated band of the same name. the official carpet bomb is still in the work and will eventually be at http://www.carpetbomb.NET/ some related links check: http://www.mp3.com/adrien75 (i meant to post about this earlier, these are REALLY good, like 20 tracks up there, all super stuff) http://www.geocities.com/adrien75 (carpet bomb discography, etc..) http://home.earthlink.net/~tripform/ms/ (shockwave of the first Carpet Bomb record) i love carpet bomb. seriously amazing stuff, everyone check it out now if you haven't (no excuses now that adriens got mp3.com stuff.. it's free!)

Actually that's incorrect. the website for the Carpet Bomb label is: http://www.carpetbomb.net/ not carpetbomb.com as listed above. carpetbomb.com is the website of a rock band called carpetbomb. Anyway... Highways Over Gardens has also been a favorite of mine for some time and i get chills down my back every time i hear the light guitar strumming in the middle of Microstudio's Rural Development Project and at the beginning of Livestock's Lawndrop. Adrien 75 himself recently posted the url to his new mp3.com website on which he has a dozen or so mp3s that are well worth checking out. visit the Adrien 75 mp3 website at: http://www.mp3.com/adrien75 Or for more Carpet Bomb info & related links visit the official Adrien 75 website at: http://www.geocities.com/adrien75/ btw: the website for the Carpet Bomb label is: http://www.carpetbomb.net/ not .com as listed about. carpetbomb.com is the website of an indie rock band called carpetbomb. btw2: for more info on the current carpet bomb label roster check these artist websites: Livestock: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/2175/live.htm Microstudio: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/2175/micro.htm Unagi Patrol: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/2175/unagi.htm Tripform: http://home.earthlink.net/~tripform/ Adrien 75: http://www.geocities.com/adrien75/ The Necks: http://www.thenecks.com/ -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

I have to agree. This is one of my favorite releases to date. To me it sounds so organic with the use of live conventional instrumentation. I look forward to more from Carpet Bomb in the near future. Jason `Pietro wrote:
