A valid question to ask is, which Orb? The lineup has changed continually since inception, and I don't even know what the current lineup is, though I understand that Paterson has done "kiss and make up" with Youth, with whom he parted fairly acrimoniously even before the first album was released. Having said that, I have a lot more lingering affection for the Orb in its various incarnations that for some of the more "holy" icons mentioned on this site. Wim Vogel wrote:

i'm maybe in the minority here but I love the orb most with strong thomas felhmann presence. really liked the stuff on kompakt and the one with Lee Perry. totally a different vibe then the classic stuff of course. i think he's a pretty solid part of the touring act these days. last time i saw them they played together and each did a little solo set (with fehlmann doing the smooth dubby house stuff and patterson jamming a bunch of classic rave tracks together). pretty fun On Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 9:47 PM, Richard Hester <gwrenchxx@sbcglobal.net> wrote:

You won't catch me dirting on Fehlmann - he lends an approachable, "gemutlich" touch to just about everything he does. I've been a follower of his since his Palais Schamberg days , and that was a long, long time ago. Chris Taylor wrote:

For me, the Orb is what the Beatles and Rolling Stones would be if they teamed up for most rockers. Listened back to some of it recently and it still sounds wonderful! On Tue, Apr 14, 2015 at 7:25 AM, Richard Hester <gwrenchxx@sbcglobal.net> wrote:
