Just picked this up by chance- I had a good few listening sessions in the Record Store this week. I went to the Caipirinha site and couldn't find info on this artsit and it seems to be a release from Argentina(it's all in Spanish). It's some outstanding work, someone posted about Slowdive recently and they are one ensemble I can think of when I listen to Cineplexx; soft singing and a strummed acoustic within an ambient lather. I didn't like this too much. Hell, I returned it, actually. Too Darla/post-rock sounding to me. I was expecting a little more rhythmic/bleepy content. All those melancholic spanish vocals and the strumming kind of grated. To paraphrase those older folks who complain about grindcore and industrial music: I just don't get that depressed anymore, y'know? Actually, I don't think I've ever felt as sad and hopeless as this record made me think I ought to feel. Oh well. Tom
