If anyone is a Steve Reich fan, or at least can conclude that he had an amount of influence over this type of media, go pick up/check out the REICH REMIXED album, MANTRONIK, DJ SPOOKY, TRANQUILITY BASS, ANDREA PARKER, and others...I was extremely impressed, and thought it did a fine job tying up the link.. there are some good tracks on it, but it's basically people putting samples over their own stuff. not too "influenced" in that the artists don't seem to incorporate anything of the source material other than a tape-playback approach to sampling whatever track they were assigned. the ken ishii track is the only one with any degree of imprecision. eric
