Well, I guess that means those of us who were thinking of flying in for the show are pretty much fucked since we can't order advance tickets with our credit card. That really, really blows. :( Greg

plus really, this space is pretty damn big and tickets will most likely still be on sale the day-of.

I picked mine up today, and they were numbers 17 through 20 if that helps give an estimate of the rate at which they're selling. I asked the clerk what people from out of town should do if they wanted tickets: Me: Do they have to have someone in New York come in for them? Clerk: Well, this is the only place people can buy tickets. [pause] And they are cash only. [pause] So, uh, yeah. I'm willing to volunteer as a proxy purchaser, also. This pretty much sums up why, though Other is a great shop and only ten minutes from me, I still get most of my records from PJ. Speaking of which, I have to rant, so stop reading now. I thought PJ was just getting in on the fun when he listed SKA000. But when it showed up on the Juno list I figured it was for real. Now, I'm no nationalist, but anyone stateside who would rather sacrifice all their dignity by spending 11.51UKP on a *goddamn frisbee* from Andy Maddocks instead of spending less money to check out some quality, new, homegrown IDM like the Jake Mandell e.p. or the Lexaunculpt 12" wins a free limited-edition ass-kicking from me. You can pick it up at the M ixmaster Morris show tonight. Blue t-shirt, grey slacks, blue Adidas. I'll be waiting. alright, it's time for my nap, Danny.

me neither, in fact i'm not even amaerican, but i do get fed up w/ the complaints about 'expensive' (coming from a country where cd's are about the cheapest in the world, even) imports, + ltd eds. and i'd like to say that both pj + bent crayon still had copies of the ltd mandell ep for a reasonable $9. i might even review the damn thing when i (eventually) get home and listen to it. the wire said it was v. nice tho'. whatever it's sure to sound better than a frisbee. do we even know if it has grooves yet? -martin

From what I know pj said that there's not enought mandells to go around. too bad. it's worth a try though. pj's under a load of stuff to ship out right now, since the diskono's just came out. Rusty

when i was in bent crayon yesterday they had a dozen or so copies of the jake mandell cd sitting in their bins. so it is still available in places. but get them while you can because the 300 copies are disappearing fast. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Woo haa! That's the attitude I like to see. No messing, either. I made a concious decision a couple years ago to try to purchase as high a ratio of domestic-to-import stuff and I've gotta say it's paid off beautifully. It's cheaper and I now have a full-blown addiction to Plug Research. Not a nationalist either, but c'mon stateside IDM crew, *represent!* Bill / dj marathon

Ha! that is excellent. How much are those limited- edition ass-kickings worth? : ) I also agree about the domestic label issue. A few years ago domestic idm was difficult to come by but now we have a ton of impressive labels including: Schematic, Plug Research, Chocolate Industries, Isophlux, Dropbeat, Side Effects, Caipirinha, Matador, Thrill Jockey, Moikai, Vinyl Communications, Lucky Kitchen, Obliq, Application Specific, Phthalo, Orange, Primedeep, Epectir, Solenoid, and Kracfive to name just a few. Plus all the excellent techno labels that the US has... There's no excuse not to by some domestics now! -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
