So now that you know exactly what's on it, you probably want to know where to get it. Since *all* proceeds will go to support KUCI, we are using stores that will carry the compilation on consignment and not mark them up. When you pay $20, all of that goes to KUCI. So be really nice to these stores, they're voulenteering thier vaulable time because they believe in supporting Orange County's Public Radio. Preferred Stores: Noise Noise Noise: Costa Mesa, CA (714) 55-Noise Dr. Freeclouds Mixing Lab: Costa Mesa, CA (714) 650-0909 Modern Music: (Online Mail Order) http://www.modernmusic.com Or you can order direct, send $20 plus $5 s/h to: Loraine 2xCD C/O Peach 16762 Hermit Circle Huntington Beach, CA 92647 These are the only stores that have agreed to carry it so far under these rather unorthodox circumstances, but I'm working on getting more stores to carry it. If your store is interested, please contact me. Oh yeah, I do a radio show too. Here's the schedule: Wednesday, July 15th, 1998 8-10pm - Uberzone Q of Uberzone will be in the studio to discuss and play some of his most recent material, including his unreleased remixes of Sarah McLaughlin (which have already been bootlegged). Uberzone has released three singles on City Of Angels, in addition to two EP's and plenty of remixes. He regularly performs around the country and recently returned from a European tour with The Crystal Method and Simply Jeff. Look for the Uberzone track "Dream Sequence (KUCI Edit)" on the forthcoming KUCI benefit CD "Loraine." Wednesday, July 22nd, 1998 8-10pm - Ryan Lum of Love Spirals Downwards Ryan Lum from Love Spirals Downwards will Guest DJ for an hour on Space Disco For Fish Tacos. He'll be playing a bit off of his forthcoming projekt release "Flux" in addition to some of the music that he draws inspiration from. For more information on Love Spirals Downwards or their three albums on Projekt, visit their website. Look for the LSD track "Nova" on the forthcoming KUCI benefit CD "Loraine." Coming Soon - Loraine CD Release party Date and lineup still under development, more information available soon. Space Disco For Fish Tacos has been on the air just shy of three years, featuring weekly live performances and interviews by electronic musicians from southern California and abroad. Tune in every Wednesday evening from 8-10pm on KUCI 88.9fm, broadcasting at 200 watts to the greater Orange County area. Some past guests have included (In no particular order): Mixmaster Morris, Ben Neill, Uberzone, Electric Skychurch, Bassland, Skylab2000, Mushroom Nation, X-Calibur, Gearwhore, Paxwo, Hive, Surface 10, Variance, THC, Mark Trance's Deep, Cathexis, Sumi, Quadra, Tipsy, Lecanoscope, Control X/Front BC/Liqui-Fly/Mental Blox, Arjuna, Dimension 23, Liquid Mind Warp, Bleu, Entrancing Iris, Phthalocyanine, John Tejada, Robert Rich, Hazel Window, Your Choroid Coat, Low Res, Not Breathing, The Angel, 2 Silver Boxes vs. Scatterbrain, A Produce, Max Vaxx & The Rain People (and the list keeps growing). A bit of Clarification: KUCI Is a closed studio, which means we are not equipped to have an audience, so please don't ask to come down. Exceptions have been few and far between, but due to recent theft problems I will definitely not be allowing people to come down for the show. Whereas nothing has been stolen during my show, I intend to keep it that way. In addition, I am not able to make copies of live performances for listeners. I understand that people out of KUCI's signal want to get a hold of some of the live performances that I have, but those performances are the property of the artist and out of respect for them I cannot make duplications. However, once the signal is released from our transmitter, I have no control over listeners making duplications. -Daniel 9-5SuperSpy@kuci.org ============================================================================== Listen to "Space Disco for Fish Tacos", KUCI 88.9fm Wednesdays 8-10pm New Space Disco For Fish Tacos web site: http://www.kuci.org/~dbremmer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "We're not talking about music.
