What's the word on Likemind records? I found LM-04 for 99 cents and it is the best 99 cents record I have. As One, Elegy and Nuron have put some mighty good tracks down here. Phil Downey

you should own every one! the finest a.r.t style electronics you'll find anywhere. in particular, look out for the heavenly 'artifax' by stasis on LM01, and the epic 'reishi' by tura, one of black dog productions' finest moments. otoh, what's all the fuss about this bola single? i thought it was cheap, bland and lacking in anything with bite, as i've found with all d.fitton productions. just to echo the thoughts of someone who shall remain nameless, it sounds like a car commercial soundtrack. btw, select magazine rates wap100 4/5, and it just gets worse with every listen.. <waves> np - shadehead - the black dog

99¢ for a Likemind record? Lucky you! I have all the LM records and ended up paying a great deal for them all. All the Likemind label records are absolutely essential (if you can find them). Their records involve all the biggest names in early-IDM including Steve Pickton (Stasis), Steve Rutter & Michael Golding (Redcell/B12), Kirk Degiorgio (Elegey/As One), Andy Turner (Tura/Plaid/Black Dog), & IMHO one of the most overlooked artists in IDM - Paul Smith (Nuron/Fugue). Unfortunately Likemind hasn't released anything since 1996 so we'll have to make due with their four records: Likemind Discography: . Stasis/Nuron split 12" (Likemind/LM-01) - Stasis: Funky Purple Hotpants From The Planet Disco - Stasis: Belters Theme - Stasis: Artifax - Nuron: Madam 6 - Nuron: Electric Arc - Nuron: For Further Information . Fugue/Nuron split 12" (Likemind/LM-02) - Fugue: Contrapoint - Fugue: Interlagos - Nuron: Mirage - Nuron: In Motion . Likethemes comp 12" (Likemind/LM-03) - Redcell: The Silicon Garden - Stasis: Monolife (Rebuild) - Tura: Reishi - Nuron: Minutes . Elegy/As One/Nuron comp 12" (Likemind/LM-04) - Elegy: Flights of Fantasy - As One: Light - Nuron: Eau Rouge - Nuron: Slipstream -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Hello All, With the exception of my recent logging on to this list, I have been lurking, but I need to ask; I've picked up a copy of "Music Has The Right To Children" and read that there was a 10" of "Telephasic Workshop". How difficult will the search be for this slab o' vinyl? I didn't find any limitation info. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, LT back to the lurk

The 10" is just a two-track promo release for Music Has The Right To Children. Both the tracks on the 10" are on the album. The release you should track down is the BOC: Aquarius 7" on Skam. That one has a different version of Aquarius and a previously unreleased track called Chinook. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

Is this the same track that's on their Point of No Return EP on B12 records? -- Ben Coffer http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

Yes, that Stasis track was on the Point of No Return EP on B12 records. I believe a some of the Nuron & Fugue tracks ended up on a few Kudos record & Freezone comps. And the Elegy & As One tracks on LM-04 were put on the Objets D'Art III comp cd. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
