According to Interface Magazine (issue #16), Bogdan Raczynski was once active in the MOD scene. This makes sense because I found four files on The Hornet Archive (www.hornet.org - the mecca of the scene in its heyday) under the monkier "Bogdan." Just go to Hornet and run a search for "bodgan," and the four tracks should pop up. These files are in IT format and can be played on Winamp (for those of you who didn't know). And they sound considerably close to Mr. Raczynski's recent work. I'm not promising that these are relics of the Bogdan we know, but it seems very likely. Can anyone confirm this? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Speaking of MOD's and .IT files... Would any of the more tech-saavy/minded know a shareware solution (MACINTOSH) for converting these lovely little files into, say, full badwidth AIFF or SD2 files? They play fine in MacAmp, but alas there's no export function just yet. I'd use PlayerPro but you have to register the damn thing before it'll do anything useful (besides it doesn't exactly play them very well; mostly vaguely related bursts of static and white noise (not that this is necessarily a problem)). I never went through that MOD stage. Midi'ed all the way from Atari ST ---> now. Rock solid... -Våt

Yeah, I'm pretty sure considering I've seen live photos of him performing with only a computer. His stuff sounds pretty tracker like. After playing with Buzz for a while I could definitely understand how he does it. He also calls his songs 'musics', which is a pretty strong tracking term...as in 'please listen to my musics.' -lee

I've got a few.. Under the moniker "Ice.Climber"(?) he did a 5 track EP for Mono called Teddy Bear Magix in '97. www.mono211.com '2222' EP thru NOISE under Bogdan.. www.noisemusic.org This one was released in 98 I believe.. and it's got 1 or 2 songs from his Boku release.. Theres some small bits he did for Kosmic back in 96(?) I think. I can't remember what he released them under. Kent? or something. There's only a few. (I think) .. And I'm sure theres a bunch more.. Some of the scene fellas on the list can probably clear it all up. There's been discussion about it before..
