yes, it's steve reich the composer, and it comes from his late-'60s (i think) piece called "come out," which is usually paired with the somewhat more famous, though procedurally similar, "it's gonna rain". jeff

okay, there's this band called maximillian colby. i don't know if anyone on here has ever heard of them. anyway, they've got this one song with this sample of a guy saying "i had to like open the bruise and let some of the bruise blood come out." in the (sparse) linear notes they give credit in the song to "Steve Reich ('Come Out')". i'm just curious if anyone knows if this is the composer steve reich, and if so, what work it comes from. and you should all check out maximillian colby. toodles. : wells : : s0ewoliv@titan.vcu.edu :
