I know some people on this list listen to Jazz, so I figured I'd give this question a shot. Reply privately. Thanks in advance. Any opinions on John Zorn's recordings? A got a recommendation for Euclid's Nightmare—is that any good? Any definitive, essential recordings by Zorn, esp. as a gift for a Jazz traditionalist (my father) who likes a little bit of free jazz, but not much beyond Ornette Coleman? Any other newer free jazz which isn't too noodly? And I just got Isotope 217: The Unstable Molecule, on Thrilljockey, which is a very good, but short free jazzy kinda thing from some of the Toroise/sea and cake crew, with some other people. Sam
