yes I would say any track with 80 and 160 bpm sections is fair game
they allow for great freestyle mixing
i wouls also include ambient/downtempo tracks by junglists
like J Majiks 'Mermaids' (best record on Mowax ever?) and Photeks
'Into the 90s'
and things like the Chris Bowden & 4 Hero EP (hottest record in
london right now)
Also the fluffy tracks by DJ Trax on Nautilus
I'm also into the Dot label in Sweden (but that's much faster)
And the very strange Photek track on KJZ thats 127 bpm
and Degos awesome 'Paranormal in 4 forms'
but these are all misfit masterpieces that dont fit in anywhere
the position is strangely like that of ambient techno ....
i'm glad some people have the guts to make beautiful music
its a pity more people don't have the balls to play it.
so - we play it in the other room.
its an open secret that the music in the other room is always better!
