from memory.... Side A Me and Mr Jones (forthcoming on Blue Planet is 'Me and Mr Sutton' a collaboration with Boymerang). Drum and Bass Bass For Papa (not, thats not a typo). ??? Can't remember this one! Somebody...Haylp haylp. Damn my swiss cheese memory... Side B Feelings Cut Side C The Life of the Mind Subtle - (Remix available on the State of the Nu ARt sampler) Delicious - (That was delicious, I wonder what it was?) Side D Dbc (which stands for Devastator Beat Creator, which is most certainly true!) Maker of All (Lalo Schiffrin 'Bruce Lee' soundtrack sampling bizniz)

from my record collection. NOT! But seriously, I've never seen it for sale second hand. 500 copies only I believe, but then again its not surprising as most of it is a bag of crap. Monotonous banging minimalism acid. Not good acid either. But worth it for a 'drone' on the 7" which sounds v.similar to the one off industrial folk songs (ie its probably Mr Jeffs at work), and the last track which is old Aphex style - 2 mins of drum machine beats. The other tracks are better for mixing with but not much fun to listen to. And of course the packaging is in a super cheesy Rephlex plastic bag. Anyone remember those 'I Care Because You Do' bags?! Scary, or what... By the way, heard the new Cylob single the other day. Top raucous stuff with a melodic edge and is officially called 'Cylobs latest effort'. Release date anyone?
quoted 1 line is plug 2 as great as plug 1?> is plug 2 as great as plug 1?
Yes, yes, yes. Much greater. And greater than three, but I couldn't get into it for a while with the sound being so new then. Now it should be postively easy listening in comparison to Mr Pusher, and the other drill n bass types. Plug 1 is ace though - 'Gunshots, guuuunshots...fiery....gunshots'. Ace!

What extra track. The redone remix is top, the AFX mix is also top and the beginnings of his industro drum and bass leanings, and the Sutton/Simmonds remix is passable too.

This I can't answer, apart from to say that most people are dumb when it comes to music. Superstardom awaits with the new Mo'Wax single and LP (140 mins worth - yahoo!). If the appalling DJ Shadow (album) is anything to go b(u)y, then the Vibester should be huuuge.

Yahoo? Considering how overlong both 'Throbbing Pouch' and 'Drum and Bass for Papa' are, I hardly think the fact that his next record will be twice as long is cause for celebration. 'Throbbing Pouch' ends with all those throwaway tracks that rehash material from the first half of the album, while everything on 'Drum and Bass for Papa' runs long, but this is particularly true of the last few tracks, which aren't as strong as some tracks that precede them and don't really justify their own length ("Maker of All" would be a nice closer if it were about a third as long). The primary thing I think Vibert needs to work on is the conclusions of his records. He's not going to improve or get anymore disciplined about this by recording two-hour-plus extravaganzas for James Lavelle. C. -- C.Hilker (cspot@hyperreal.com) "He was mesmerized by the light-pictures, and the music sent him right into dreamland"

Is it not the fourth? Actually, what was #3 [Fair enough 'red' UI is TR-606; 'blue' UI is TB-303 labelled "INNovAtioNs In tHE DYNAmiCS oF aCid" with "The Kommando has returned" scratched into the spinout groove; and 'green' UI is SH-101 and labelled #4]? Just out of interest as well - where do the two Kosmic Kommando ep's, one (CAT 007) labelled "INNOVATION IN THE DYNAMICS OF ACID" and the second with MC-202 in the spinout groove, sit? Oh, I agree with GB on his summary of the green UI I'm afraid, not great... Rubyjune.
