maybe popularity is what idm needs? dunno... there'll always remain a bunch of real UG (hah) artists whose music will be too hard to be likeable for the masses, like autechre and panasonic for example. fsol, chem bros and orbital seem to be following the prodigy's example and come out of the closet, but is aphex twin really *that* popular? he's just a really appreciated person and known for giving weird interviews and statements and that's the reason why he's in public quite a lot. the material he puts out nowadays isn't really that poppy, none of my pop-music/prodigy-listening friends liked neither girl/boy ep or richard d james album, not even milkman. -- .Mikko

Did you ever stop to consider that maybe BDD never liked RDj in the first place? Or is the fact that someone may have a different opinion from you too difficult to comprehend?

i have a feeling that RDJ is not even close to be finished with music. i remember some crud about him wanting to invent stuff. maybe that is true but i think the levels of radon have effect RDJ more than just his asthma. i bet he likes to jerk those interviews around and get them to think that he is quiting. just to get a laugh. the RDJ LP is not even the last release for him. i hear than there is another aphex release just over the horizon. on the other hand... maybe it was miss taken and he is not using the aphex twin pseudonym any longer. WHO KNOWS??? those are just some thought on the matter.

who would that be then? last i heard the new rephlex release schedule (when it kicks into gear again) goes like this: 1. Sam&Valley 2.Bochum Welt (Robotics) 3.Cylob (Diof 97) 4.More Bochum (feelings?) 5.Caustic 6.dunno..maybe the gentle people remix thingy. something like that anyway. not very likely caustic is coming out in two weeks without a peep from anyone. _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm

eenh, sirendisc (whee, right, okay); the geezer at 611 records (in philly); and a buddy of mine in england who says he saw an ad for it in a music paper (can't remember which) which gave that as the date. then again, all of this info is, at the newest, two weeks old, so rephlex (in true rephlex fashion) may have shoved it back to the second coming by now. so, the bottom line turns out to be: your guess is as good as mine. but for a taste of it, a track from it ("cunt") is on TEEx3. but i'm sure you all knew that. :) * * + * * \|/ * *----]euroboy[----]micah.stupak[----]mjsst87+@pitt.edu[------e-+ * >>bitwise.operators /|\ * * * + i hate anyone who sees me as an illusion of passion.

Has anybody even considered the possibilty that this is never going to come out!? Like it's RDJ's private little joke or something. Also Gonzi said:

Is the rarities going to contain any of a certain promo that did the rounds, but the full release of which was pulled!? ;) While i have your attention Gonzi.. when are you going to fill in all the blanks for the FutureShock and 3Lux-3 videos in your etc section? I gave you all the details ages ago! (In fact, the very same message i mentioned the fact that Polygon Window appears on Warp's Motion Video) Regards, John
