NME has been pushing good music through the Vibe's pages for yonks now , (though it ain't the same since Graham Sheram moved to Melody Maker) , but it still smacks of a token *dance* page in otherwise mindless rag, I recently read a copy and they are still going on about the bands they featured 10 years ago! : choice quote from REM "Yes this new album is our best one yet" ( they say that every bleedin time) , remember these are the people that put Soup Dragons and Northside on the cover ,Jack Barron was the only decent journalist ever to written for them , sorry for the Uk orientated non - idm rant but I fucking hate the NME( John Lydon got that one right!!)........next subject. sm @ 4th world *cutting edge mail order* http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld/

I did not write this. My original post to which this was a reply refered to the Radio 1 airplay that Girl/boy was getting. but IMHO NME is full of a lot of crap but it's a weekly and Ben (Vibes) Wilmot is a fairly intelligent writer with a better than average taste in music (see full page 3 picture review of Aphex at Big Love in the latest issue). g.
