L@N have not disappeared. They will have a new release in the next few months on A-Musik. The next scheduled A-Musik release is: . L@N: live in Hamburg lp/cd (A-Musik 013) Also, last year L@N remixed a Kreidler track that appeared on the Kreidler: Resport remix album on Stewardess. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

that's what i've always thought, but wasn't sure. could also be L AT N. these guys released their work on the a-musik label. at their best, they were utterly hypnotic and funky, with loads of fucked-up frequencies scattered in the mix. they created quite a distinctive sound. can't believe they'd just fade away completely. Does anyone know anything about subj? I've got their s/t album full of live performance tracks dated 95-96 and it is just great. Pure minimal techno idm. Interesting stereo effects (sometimes two different melodies going from left and right speaker) and unbiased approach to sound. Closest guess might be Panasonic and the likes. Highly recommended. L@N are the Düsseldorf-based German duo of Otto Müller and Rupert Huber. L@N have a self-titled cd and two lps all out on A-Musik label. L@N also contributed two remixes on the Kreidler: Resport remix album on the Stewardess label. L@N have just released a new cd, called Twoinone, on the Staalplaat label. I dont have this one yet but will be getting it soon. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
