greets, all. just finished some updates to the mouse on mars web page....
http://hyperreal.com/music/artists/mouse_on_mars/www/
slight favor to ask... my cd drive's crapped out on me, so i can't
record any .wav files for Bib at this point. any kind soul out there
willing to pop a couple of ~30-second samples to hyperreal for me? if
so, a private email would be much appreciated.
as for Bib, lovely work from these gentlemen. to me, they take one of
the nicer turns along the jungle-inspired idm path. it's more melodic
than expected from previous posts, those light oohs and ahhs intact
over the percussion. quite nice. the kicker for me is the Lomo Mix,
full of that trademark MoM style that makes me love Vulvaland so much,
whirring machinery over a liltingly textured ambient dub take on the
original.
the forthcoming LP should be a tasty treat when (if?) it hits my local
record shop.

last on (warning, mini-review by a non-musician):
-------------------------------------------------
Bochum Welt - Les Dances D'Ete (Kromode KRM03). 4 delicious tracks pressed
on clear yellow vinyl from an italian label. the a side consists of 2
tracks heavily inspired by kraftwerk but with a sweeter musicbox quality
to the overlaid synth line. the flip is 1 track of dark autechre-ish
sound, 1 track of minimal ambience. my verdict? HIGHLY recommended--not
one single sound i don't enjoy on this one.
