I just got off the phone with Carla at Plus8 Records. I was asking about new releases...and anything else she wanted to tell me about. :) Here are some highlights. New Releases... +8043 Plastikman To be released very soon. (Or is this Plastique? huh?) Pro 23 Mark Gage Cusp Coming up... Defanda 18 coming up. New Artist....Ian Poole. PSI release. Also... -Richie is on the net. But email address is not availible etc. (which is prolly the way he wants it. ;) -Mark Gage is hiding out in his studio, after a very hard tour around Europe. -John Aquaviva will be in various places in the next little while... including London, Ontario (november 18) and Chile! -in Febuary...John A. & Richie H. will be touring the U.S. to promote Plastikman release. -John A. to be at Destiny 7 in Toronto...a rare Toronto appearance :) -Mute and Warp Records are being used in order to crack the elusive U.S. market ("elusive" is my word) Someone please give me the FULL details on +8043..so either I or greg303 can update! Im not positive, but I believe this will be the Plus8 version of Musik. It will have the same tracks as the Novamute version, But will include Kiropraktor from the limited edition etched 12" and another bonus track titled Elektrix. :: Alan M. if i'm not completely mistaken, this is ian pooley, from mainz/germany, one half of t'n'i, or space cube, who usually release on force inc.. with thomas gerlach (the other half) he used to do (happy, but nice) breakbeat and house stuff, occasionaly getting more techno, but mostly very uplifting. he's been doing more techno/acid in some solo work recently... that's how he got on +8, probably. i'm already curious... he's a bright young guy.
