I just finished doing the vapour space (phone) interview. It
went pretty good, Mark (aka Vapour space) was friendly and had a lot
to say. Some highlights:
- He talked alot about playing "live" and his disgust with people
who rely on DAT's and sequencing.
- Throughout the interview he only mentioned aphex and the
hartnoll brothers. When I brought up moby I got a big "no
comment". It was pretty funny. Apparently moby travels around
by air while everyone else cruises in the bus.
- He was pretty happy about the tour so far but was dissapointed
with his performance at the NY show, there were some technical problems.
- As far as releases, he's got a new ep that should be out this
week, forgot the name. He's also got a bunch of re-mixes coming out,
An album will be out at the beginning of next year on FFRR
domestically and Orbital's label in the uk (forgot the name).
I'll have a complete transcription within the next week that I'll
post to the list.
When I was leaving Orbital was doing an interview somewhere else in
the venue so they were going to call back in a couple of minutes.
