Along similar lines, my reason for liking and following The Field is that if I can't have any new GAS tracks then I will make do with the GAS wannabes. The Sight Below falls into this category, too.
It's no GAS, don't get me wrong, but I enjoy it for its GAS-like qualities that you and others have mentioned: repetitive, transparent, ambient, et. al. I haven't heard his latest stuff but this definitely applies to the debut on Kompakt from a few years ago.
