Right on, right on.
He - O'bama is the only one who can lead the band at this lurchy point
in the score - the ship is listing and all the deck chairs have become
hazardous sliding menaces, BUT, the band must play on - we (the USA)
cannot slide into the abyss without an accompanying and moving
soundtrack. At the end of the day, we leave all values and ideals to
the northern Europeans to carry into the future - it has proven to be
beyond us. And it will always elude us - a perverse social experiment.
O'bama is the only conductor who can improvise in this key at this
tempo and transmit what is appropriate to all the players. He won my
grudging vote, mostly on probabilities of positive outcomes in key
issues, but also because of the way he bites his words so carefully,
as though he were counting them with his teeth for sense (which shows
a certain level of awareness of one's statements that has been
conspicuously lacking these 20 years past, or so)
Blessings to all. Better days ahead
