indeed!  this is going to be a great show!!!!!! Fourthcity alumnus ER DON is playing a live set at Nectar on thursday night (July 17) along with Coco Coca, The Animals at Night, and Born to Kill (from San Francisco)   ***this is an all LIVE electronic music show***   serious heat here! ER DON used to play Oscillate pretty frequently back in the day and was an integral part of building Fourthcity's reputation as a heavyweight in both the hip hop and electronic scenes and ER DON is a perfect example of Fourthcity's aproach to music. electronics, solid beats and bass and a knack for bridging musical genres with ease. not to miss for sure.... the support lineup is also very solid. THE ANIMALS AT NIGHT is Graig Markal's solo project, which has included guest vocalist duties from luminaries like Jen Wood and others. Really Really nice stuff! BORN TO KILL is from San Francisco and has played with and collaborated with Prefuse 73 as well as developing his own unique brand of glitchy downtempo. Similiar to Prefuse but very much his own sound as well. and...COCO COCA IS a recent midwestern transplant with a sound that is a mixture of indie songwriting and electronc beats and bass. Kinda reminds me of Pel Mel from the early nineties with a bit of glam. I dig much... yes..... and if this wasn't enough, our good friend Scott Sunn (TRACER VISUALS) will be on hand as well on the live visuals.....(very very very nice...) anyway, this show is really worth your attention. Nectar has GREAT sound and during the summer that outdoor lounge is the shit.
