Which KRS are you listening to? Recent or old? A lot of old school beats (Schooly D, "Smoke Some Kill") have some distorted beats, though that's all relative, considering how distortion has changed over the past 15 years. If you're talking the heavy sub-bass type stuff (Miami Bass), then crunk may be what youre looking for. -----Original Message----- From: ===> <cduneau@yahoo.com> To: idm@hyperreal.org Sent: Mon, 27 Mar 2006 03:31:00 -0800 (PST) Subject: [idm] hip-hop sub-genre? Hey Loving a lot the few tracks from krs one I know and some stuff like Dalek (DHR), I was wondering if there is a sub-genre of hip-hop involving these kinds of heavy or even distorted beats? something like ***industrial hip-hop***? I know there is something called crunk from the south of the usa, but I don't know yet if it is what I am looking for... cyrill. --------------------------------- New Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
