This event is the official launch of vague terrain 02: digital
landscape, the second issue of our digital arts quarterly. This new body
of work will include a number of aural, visual, and textual meditations
on landscape and technology from a number established & emerging
artists. To celebrate, weve enlisted two of Denise Bensons top 10
talents for 2006 (Eye Magazine 12.29.05): Polmo Polpo and Sans Soleil and
vague terrain resident Neil Wiernik (aka naw) and DJ Greg Clow round a
provocative night of deep listening.
Were going to be trying something a little different this month in
setting up the space and providing more seating then usual. Were hoping
the net result of this will create an ambient café feel to the space.
Weve also recruited Dublin ex-pat Sarah Mooney to screen a selection of
her video work. So if youre free on the 25th, please come out and raise
a glass to the second issue of vague terrain with some of Torontos
premiere soundscape artists.
