80 minutes is what you'll typically find most CDR's to be. There is some burning software that will allow you to go over that, with the warning that it may not burn properly or be playable in all players. 80 minutes is standard - shorter 70 or 74 (I don't recall exactly what the shorter ones run at) minute CDR's may not play in older CD players, as the width of the tracks is not the same (that's why they're shorter - they use just as much area as the longer discs for less data).
