http://www.lackluster.org/shop/ baked goods / boomkat will list it up this friday, and apparently the pressrelease will be officially posted tomorrow (thursday). the record consists of 1996-2003 material. the oldest LL released yet. and with thanks to jeffrey lim (impulsetracker). here's the pressrelease: NEWSPEAK RECORDS (SWEDEN): LACKLUSTER: What You Want Isn't What You Need CD (NSPK 008CD). "'Bkt sets a playful tone, with its musical box opening theme and hollowed out beats. Lackluster describes a landscape with melodic momentary fragments, 'Hiatus' permitting tinder-box harmonies and a lumpy, tannin, heavy brew of beats to accrete. 'Down' seems to enter a parallel David Lynchian world, where Badalamenti has settled on the most pared-down arrangements of his career, troubled by digital interventions. 'N' resolves this dilemma in open-hearted, broadly euphoric fashion, a reconciled and contented mood, which is allowed to subsist inside 'Sizehoay's core. 'The Cluster Theme' dallies with a darker palette again, rotating around a subterranean 4/4 deceptive child's-play keys soften the blow. 'Swamped' delights in roughing the rhythm then smoothing it with those icy melodies once again -- 'Dropouts' rounds up proceedings with Ritalin beats, inhumanly artificially accelerated, drum and ominous bass viewed from the other end of a telescope." http://www.lackluster.org/shop/ oh as a bonus, here's stuff: ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/lackluster/lackluster_live_pidays_lyon_070505.txt ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/lackluster/lackluster_live_pidays_lyon_070505.mp3 & ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/lackluster/lackluster_-_live_on_chillage_idiots_xfm_dublin_02-10-05/ yours, esa --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
