You kind of have to dig for some of it. Check the forward-bound email list For a good reference point. You can get some of these records through the same places you'd get any other D&B, you just have to dig. I'd recommend checking out Offshore records as well as Inperspective records for some of that stuff.

Many of the biggest anthems of the past few years get labeled clownstep - The over-the-top synth lines and production. It's stuff that is decidedly Pandering to the raver massive, rather than the more "serious" direction D&B had been heading for years. Examples: Dillinga - Twist Em' Out, Fresh - Elm Street, Pendulum - Another Planet, lots of stuff by Twisted Individual. I'd say though that that sound was at its peak a few years ago now... These days there seems to be more of a trend towards the liquid funk / dubby dancefloor stuff (high contrast, commix, logistics, caliber), and then on the other side, the more hardcore, mutant glitch sounds (evol intent, spor, unknown error, exile, enduser...) --- WRECKED electronic music mailorder http://wrecked-distro.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
