well, there was all of the hoopla a few years ago with the lawsuits and
whatnot but i don't know what's going on with that anymore, the public lost
interest. i think you just get a court ordered summons to go get picked on
by riaa people. they surround you and poke you with sticks until you say
you're sorry, then they demand 20 grand or something. or not, i don't know
anymore. the thing is, with most of the music that...umm...nerds like all of
us listen to, we're not going to run into trouble with filesharing because
most of the music we are into is not in the riaa umbrella. so unless the
particular artist or label comes after you you are pretty much in the clear
i figure.
thoughts? and i'm not saying thoughts about the pros and cons of file
sharing, we all know that tired old argument and everyone is going to do
what they want.
