LP5 is good. It's a breakpoint in there musical style. I myself like the sound of Tri ripitae and Chiastic Slide. My first exposure to Autechre was amber and I feel very sentimental about this album, especially about Yulquen track. Draft 7.30 was like a bit of looking back to the older style (compared to confield). Their release with Hafler trio was very weird. I wonder what they are up to now. Although it seems that it is almost impossible to invent something new nowadays, I guess they will prove I'm wrong;] Walkman www.sutemos.net -----Original Message----- From: Oneaphex@aol.com [mailto:Oneaphex@aol.com] Sent: 2005 m. sausio 23 d. 23:19 To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] new autechre announced In a message dated 1/23/2005 12:54:05 PM Pacific Standard Time, chthonic@chthonicstreams.com writes: yeah, in the US it was called that, i have the UK edition which seems to have no title and a totally different (and very cool) grey plastic debossed cover. it took me awhile to get into that one and it's still not a favorite, but i prefer it to the confield and chiastic. i also think the peel sessions ore somewhere between that and draft 7.0 and i like those better too. d. lp5 was my first exposure to autechre, which could be why its my favorite. the black version was released on nothing, an american label. i bought both, thinking the black one was different, but its nice to have a backup considering how much i listen to that album. ak --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
