this is silly. i'd much rather hear your (or anyone on the list's) opinions on the new music you love or hate, vs inane threads on the evils of apple/'stealing' music/'what is idm?' or 'witty' postings full of urls i never follow. i was just in the hospital for a month and a half. getting online for the first time in quite a while, one of the little things i was looking forward to was going through msgs from this list and finding some new records to pick up. there were maybe a dozen emails out of hundreds that were useful to this end. i've been on this list on and off (years on, a few months off here and there) since around 1996. this is probably the worst it's been as far as emails along the lines of 'hey i really like this' or 'check this out'. half the time when someone posts 'anyone heard the new album by so-and-so?' or something similar, those posts get ignored while everyone barfs all over their keyboards about ipod batteries. i mean, i just held down the D key through piles of boring ass apple posts, stopping only when I saw the sender was Pet Diaries, because reading that was like when the nurses didn't check my demerol dosages and gave me too much percocet on top of it. woo. long story short: more reviews and opinions, less crap. maybe there's an idm reviews list somewhere i don't know about? there was one on yahoo for a while that died out...anyone? -z --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
