I use the Edirol PCR A30 and find that I end up leaving the Digi 002 Rack at home. There is a little drop in quality from the soundcard comparing any keyboard interface to the 002, but it's much more portable and easy to use. I haven't noticed any major latency issues with the change to USB with one exception and that is using "audio in" and routing it through Pro Tools to effect the sound source (voice, live drums). But that's to be expected... -----Original Message----- From: EROTH001@aol.com [mailto:EROTH001@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 6:28 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Question about Oxygen 8 or Ozone Hi all, Wanted to ask your opinion.. First of all, for a small, portable, inexpensive controller how do you rate the Oxygen 8? Also what are your feelings about the Midiman Ozone. It has a 24 bit soundcard built in it. On my laptop, the soundcard sucks, so I have to get a new one anyway. Would you suggest getting the ECHO indigo card and the Oxygen 8, or the Ozone with the built in card? Or would you suggest something else? thanks much, Eric eric@secretbeach.net www.secretbeach.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
