Considering that the artist themselves don't get paid for these auctions it probably does very little for IDM.
Supporting a listmember instead of some other company is what this discussion is about. We are a small community so why not keep it in the family ? However, if a listmember finds an auctioned item for less in a store it's very considerate to let others know.
Don't you hate it when you buy something on Ebay used and then find out you could have gotten it cheaper new ?
