As lame as I feel admitting it, Lassi is the reason I got into
electronic music. His old tracker stuff was fucking mind-blowing, and I
spent quite a bit of time ripping it off when I started making music.
Anyway, I agree that his stuff on Warp hasn't been up to his potential,
but like people said, Warp selected the tracks as far as I know. I
definitely suggest that you people see Brothomstates live sometime,
though. I don't know how many US dates he's ever played, but he played
at the Phoenix Festival last year with Machine Drum/Syndrone and myself
and it was a rockin good time. He's also one of the nicest people I've
ever met.
I definitely think people should check out that Default Response set,
BTW- I downloaded it last week and it was awesome.
