As someone who makes music as a hobby, I do really wish that it didn't take money to make music. Sadly, without money, the only music there is consists of live a capella. As it is, all of the music I make stays with me, as it's not worth it for me to spend money to put it out there. I do agree with you, though, on the point of vinyl vs. cd vs. consumer's preference. If you don't make what the people want, you can't expect them to buy it. Not everyone owns a record player, and given the limitations of the technology, it's a bit silly to release things only on vinyl. Probably explains why most record releases are limited issue. derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- coming soon: eggtastic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
