Most "IDM" musicians don't get corporate funding of any sort and are able to
create music just fine. To my knowledge, this is the first time Herren
himself allowed his material to be used for commercial work. So, how would
you explain all the music he has made up to this point? According to your
logic, he would not have been able to create or release any records, which
is simply untrue.
