Hey there...
Seems like the obvious choices for Autechre would be either nato for
max/msp, or pd/gem. I've not used nato, but I'm fairly sure there are
OpenGL modules for it, which would facilitate hardware accelerated live 3d
graphics.
I presume a considerable amount of render time went into the ganz graf
video, so it would be unrealistic to expect the same results in a live
situation. Should be able to get some interesting results that compliment
their music nicely though.
I've never been lucky enough to see Ae live. What sort of visual show (if
any) can be expected from one of their gigs?
