well, if the files are played with quicktime (as they are on my
ibook), then you can usually save them. after the file is completely
downloaded (the play-bar has turned grey), click the right-most arrow
in the control bar to open the drop-down meny. choose "save as
source" (or whatever it says in your language).
i'm not sure i dislike this idea, either. this means i can preview
the file before i download it completely. if i don't like it, i can
always close the window.
