Not that he's the sole practitioner, and not that the term isn't used to
describe styles slightly different from his, but when I hear "micro house" I
always think of Herbert.
I actually only heard the term for the first earlier this year, and heard it
used specifically to describe Herbert-style house. Not that I'm big on
pigeonholing and genre factionalism, but in this case I was actually glad to
have something, as I'd always struggled when asked to describe Herbert's
style.
I really don't think of myself as being all that into house, be it hard
house, bangin' house, deep house, white house, out house or whatever, but I
am a big fan of Herbert and his ilk, so I guess I like micro house.
