agreed, it's not IDM at all. but i think i'd put Alice DeeJay in the POP
electronica category instead.
i've always though of pop as overly positive music that is slightly below an
estimable workmanship level.
since moby is as least trying to be thoughtful (message-wise) i tied him to
folk music.
if, however, one ties POP to making money, then britney and moby are
certainly comparable. it's all in the definition.
i agree about porcelain. lovely. so is "my weakness," if i remember
correctly. it's been awhile.
