speed garage = good It harkens back to 91-93, the days of the old hardcore techno, when dance music was fun and energetic. It may have been formulaic (especially with respect to samples), but there were the big huge melodies, and it seemed like the music was really about having a good time. "Techno" (electronic music) to me know just seems to be so much of a "here's the soundtrack for your clubbing tonight, yuppie". Triphop and such got old after a while, and generified as well. two step garage = bad Yeah, it's laden with samples, but the beat makes it sound just like hip house... and it's similarly crass and vapid. It just kinda lies there for me. I think in the entrie time it's been big in Dallas (WAY too long) I've heard like 1 song I could actually enjoy. The rest just bored me stiff. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
