The differences between the two already outlined are fine and totally valid. Just thought it’s worth pointing out that a gender fluid queer identifying person doing their thing, making it work and having great success with it, is something a lot of people will find speaks to and inspires them as much as a fucked up Ae track inspires most of us. We don’t really need validating in society, but it’s of greater benefit and validating to a lot of people that Arca seems to represent/appeal to. Also worth noting that the way Arca presents himself is part of the art he produces along with the music.
It just so happens that I can’t particularly get into Arca’s stuff, either. Nice textures and sketches as Clint said. Just not really moi.
Not meaning to lecture anyone on this, just worth pointing out and noting as I said.
