I'd disagree about the sound - most of the stuff I've gotten has been pretty
melodic.
I'd say either "Full Sunken Breaks" by Kid Spatula, or that first Capitol K
release, if you're okay with indie rock. Not that it is indie rock, but it
kinda veers off in that direction for a bit, and if you're afraid of lyrics
or guitars, it might be an issue. Not that they're reall overbearing or
anything, but they're there.
Yes, I assholishly imagine IDM kids running screaming from records with
lyrics and guitars with their hands clasped firmly over their ears
screaming, "Rock is so mid 90s! This needs more DSP fuckery!"
