for the past month or so. the album should be revolutionary.
other than that i don't know what would be sonically similar to what
herren's doing. but in terms of 'experimental' hip hop, lyrically i think
the essential shit to check would be as follows:
de la soul - ...is dead
organized konfusion - stress
log cabin crew (their early demos never saw a proper release, but you can
probably napster the shit)
freestyle fellowship - inner city griots
company flow - funcrusher
and whatever anyone tells you, don't buy into any of that idm by numbers
pansy ass machine drum shit.
