After reading "damek@earthling.net"'s little email, I have come to realize this whole conversation is kind of ridiculous considering we are doing all the same thing, just in different ways of going about it. When I say ridiculous, i include myself considering i participated in this little debate. I believe that what ultimately matters here is that each of us is writting music how we see fit. I love artist's who play/write music with unconvetntional forms of instrument (such as Autechre, Aphex Twin, Arovane, etc.) as much as those who do (Radiohead, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Tool, etc.), so in the end what does it really all matter. If you like the end result, BRAVO for that artist for being ingenius in doing that. If not, well, what's to say someone else isn't out there enjoying what they do. Doesn't mean we have the right to take away credibility from there form of art.
