Yes ! It's excellent. Luke Vibert has many varied styles - D&B for
Papa (done under his "Plug" guise) was a moment in time - now
passed. Try his much older Throbbing Pouch on Rising High for a
more IDMmy touch or '98's Tally Ho! album for some non-serious
good time fun or how about his most recent outing collab'ing with BJ
Cole on "Stop the Panic".
As Luke Vibert he did the excellent Big Soup for Mo'Wax in '97.
They're all different and all good in their own way. Of all his output,
D&B for Papa is the one I'm most bored by - just too much of the
same thing. In isolation the tracks are brilliant, but over 2 CD's they
drill holes in my head. Also worth finding are his remixes - some
stunning stuff.
Sorry - I'm multi-tasking and my brain's not quite in gear. If any of
the above doesn't make sense, apoligies all round.
