yep. i was one of the lucky few to say "hey volkswagon, what's this
music?" so they sent me a promo wif tons of volkswagon stuff, but also the
full 4 minute song. hmm. and yeah, the commercial minute song is all over
napster/scour etc.
the "vapor" commercial i found this afternoon on scour. it's hooverphonic
- renaissance affair.
www.vw.com has info for all their commercials, most of which i haven't seen...
who the hell got hired at volkwagon that has such a keen taste, not only
for electric-oriented music, but finding extremely catchy song snippets. i
mean, they licensed that one guy to actually make the commercial music for
the jetta, making him into a small celeb for a while (and apparently he's
doing some more music work - he appears on the Ponga remix cd wif amon
tobin, spacetime continuum, etc), and they used some Orb, Fluke (although
trance-oriented), and numerous others.
