there's a cool V/A cd called "Porn Beats" on dust2dust that does a lot of this. Electronic (idm?) underneath well-sampled porn...some are raucous and make you smile, some are subtle and beautiful...the LHB and Shrink2Fit tracks are standouts for me. Anyway, other tracks from Mike Flowers, the Mellowtrons and Danmass... www.dust2dust.demon.co.uk or, for some RA clips, http://www.importcds.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=96185&St=6395&St2=-240715 920&St3=482544100&DS_ID=2&DID=6&Product_ID=257852 ---brian ------------------------ Brian W. quoted 6 lines hey there,>hey there, > >I'm trying to find out the name of an artist that uses chopped up voice >samples, not really saying anything just ahs and ohs and stuff, no beats or >anything but i think it might still be rhythmic, kind of sporadic >though...anyone have any idea? all help greatly appreciated...
well, some (most?) of scanner's stuff is like that, although that tends to be more rhythmic (i think...).. autechre's ccec does that too, but i'm pretty sure that's not it. boards of canada uses chopped up nonsense voice samples a lot but they use a lot of beats... i know there's more but that's all i can think of. -derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
