Richard Thomas used to be in Dif Juz, and there's a reissue called
"SoundPool", I think, on 4AD of their first two very dubby Eps, some of
which is really excellent and stands the test of time quite nicely, thank
you. You should definitely hear "Shoes and Radios Attract Paint" on Lo (or
Leaf? can't remember) because it is fantastic, plenty of trumpet, toys,
chatter and freakish studio meltdowns. For the hardcore there is also his
collaboration with Irish post-rockists The Wormholes, called "Seven Point
Plan to Destroy Astrology". Very good stuff.
