I recently caught the guy at the 2nd hand shop polishing them with
BRASSO !!!
Other suggestions are (white) toothpaste, which is abrasive.
I've got CD Cleaning Liquid in a little spray bottle. Use with a soft
cloth. Seems to clean the dust and muck, but won't remove
scratches.
