the only way this makes sense to me is to consider it to be referring to
the length of time it took to get picked up for wider release, and that
it's 'slept on' because some people don't have it/can't find it. here in
the san francisco bay area, which is not normally known as a techno
freakdom, copies were definitely not collecting dust on the shelves.
everybody i knew who got this at the time loved it and talked about it,
even the housey trax0rs at the record store. though parts of it are dated
now, it's a wonderfully well rounded aggregate.
