Anyone who is into Raymond Scott at all, should DEFINITELY check out Manhattan Research Inc. I just picked it up today and so far its pretty incredible. Not only does it include 2 CDs of unreleased Scott material from the 50's and 60's, but it also includes a 144 page mini-book covering all sorts of parts of his career including his many electronic musical instruments/machines, collaborations with Jim Henson, and interviews with Bob Moog. Damn this shit is cool!!!! I'd have to completely agree with Ken. This material is a big precursor to a lot of electronic music today and it has held up incredibly well. Included on the discs are also a lot of commercial jingles and soundtracks that Raymond Scott did. Perhaps this explains why we find DnB fluff in commercials all over the place today. Electronic music has always had a place in commercials! Just kidding, lets not extend that idea any further than this post. -Aaron ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles R.
